HAMPTON UNIVERSITY KNOWS CANCER

As one of only a few cancer centers located at a Historically Black University, the Hampton University Cancer Research Center is dedicated to the creation of knowledge in laboratory, clinical and community-based cancer research. We apply those discoveries to develop more effective approaches to cancer prevention, diagnosis and therapies – providing tomorrow’s standard of care today. Research

The Hampton University Cancer Research Center works closely with The Hampton University Proton Therapy Institute (HUPTI) to improve the radiation treatment and management of cancer. Together, we have developed several clinical trial protocols that will help us determine the best dose of radiation and how to improve side-effects after radiation. If you'd like to engage in laboratory research with us or shadow a physician, apply here!
